Newly launched Tiger LT VOC monitor wins award in USA<\/h2>\n

Just a few months after it was launched, we are thrilled to announce that our Tiger LT VOC monitor has been named New Product of the Year in the Industrial Hygiene category at Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) magazine\u2019s prestigious seventh annual awards.<\/p>\n

This entry-level photoionisation detector (PID), which offers worldwide Intrinsic Safety (IS) certification for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, is a streamlined, low-cost version of our well proven Tiger instrument.<\/p>\n

Winners will be recognised during the 2015 National Safety Congress & Expo (www.congress.nsc.org<\/a>) taking place in Atlanta from 28 to 30 September. This year\u2019s competition attracted entries in 22 award categories, with an independent panel of three highly qualified judges choosing the winners.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re incredibly proud that the TigerLT<\/sup>\u00a0has won OH&S magazine\u2019s<\/a> New Product of the Year award in the industrial hygiene category,\u201d comments Ion Science MD, Duncan Johns. \u201cThis accolade further underpins our commitment to designing and manufacturing best of breed gas detection instrumentation. Thorough understanding of our customer and market needs is a top priority and we will continue to invest in technology, people and services to ensure further innovation.\u201d<\/p>\n

OH&S magazine\u2019s editor, Jerry Laws said: \u201cNow in its seventh year, our New Product of the Year contest continues to grow, with a record 65 entries this year. The high quality and breadth of the 2015 entries proves once again how innovative safety and health manufacturers are as they compete in this fast-growing global market. Informing our readers and online audience about the best new products available to solve their key safety and health challenges has always been part of our magazine\u2019s mission, and this contest has become a unique and very popular extension of our outreach to the audience we serve.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of the most important PPE categories were hotly contested this year, especially the Fall\u00a0Protection, Hand Protection, and Protective Apparel categories, and several other categories\u00a0attracted multiple entries,\u201d Jerry continues. \u201cI congratulate all of this year\u2019s entrants on their fine work and thank them for participating. We certainly hope they and many other manufacturers will enter our eighth annual contest next year, as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sherrard, MS, CSP, safety consultant II for the North Carolina Department of Public Safety (Raleigh, NC) and former technical editor of\u00a0OH&S; Leo DeBobes, MA, CSP, assistant administrator for emergency management and regulatory compliance at Stony Brook University Medicine (Stony Brook, NY), as well as an\u00a0OH&S\u00a0advisory board member; and Chuck Paulausky, CHMM, principal consultant and president for CP Safety & Environmental LLC (Chandler, AZ).<\/p>\n
