Air Liquide Electronics is a well-established supplier of innovative solutions for the semi-conductor, photovoltaic and flat panel display markets, including computers, mobile phones, digital cameras, etc. As a world leader in the design, manufacture and delivery of molecules, Air Liquide Electronics contributes to the innovation of the world’s most advanced companies in the electronic industry.

Air Liquide Electronics, has recently replaced two 20-year old Ion Science gas leak detectors with the company’s latest GasCheck G instruments. Chosen for the robust, reliable and upgradeable design, the Dallas-based semiconductor manufacturer is using the high-performance handheld instruments to check for gas leaks after high pressure cylinder changes.

Jana Wu, TGCM Gas Specialist at Air Liquide Electronics:

“We had two 20-year old ION Science GasCheck B detectors that still worked okay but had started to suffer from the wear and tear you would expect after two decades. We did a benchmark against other old detectors around the factory and we were impressed to discover that the Ion Science units were the only ones still operational.”

“We chose the GasCheck G2 model because it provided an actual reading instead of a bar graph type output plus it is upgradeable to the G3 model if required, One of our favourite features is the instrument’s ability to provide cc/sec or ppm measurements. It can also be adjusted for sensitivity which is an advantage.”

“I would rate the new GasCheck G highly, at least a nine out of ten. It is intuitive, easy to use and provides accurate results. I’m also impressed with the service provided by ION Science and its distributor, REPSS Inc.”
