Falco fixed VOC monitors<\/h3>\n

Ion Science announces the launch of its Falco series of fixed continuous VOC monitors for the on-going protection of workers operating in hazardous industrial environments.<\/p>\n

Incorporating first of a kind \u2018typhoon\u2019 technology for added reliability, Falco<\/a> is specifically designed to work in condensing atmospheres and extreme weather conditions!\u00a0Falco boasts fast response times and several innovative design features. The instrument\u2019s \u2018typhoon\u2019 technology prevents condensation forming on the sensor and removes the risk of the system short-circuiting \u2013 making it ideal for use in harsh weather and high humidity.<\/p>\n

The new VOC monitor is simple to operate, while an externally located Intrinsically Safe (IS) sensor facilitates quick and easy servicing without the need for a hot work permit.<\/p>\n

Falco is the\u00a0latest generation of fixed VOC detectors\u00a0that continuously detect a wide range of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using patented photoionisation detection (PID) technology.<\/p>\n

Unique to this fixed VOC detector is its revolutionary\u00a0\u2018typhoon technology\u2019 safeguarding the PID sensor from condensing moisture for added reliability in severe weather conditions. In addition, the PID sensor incorporates patented Fence Electrode Technology, which virtually\u00a0removes the effects of airborne humidity and\u00a0protects from contamination.<\/p>\n

Offering the ultimate in safety,\u00a0Falco eliminates false readings found with other competing PID technology. Its multi-coloured\u00a0LED status display\u00a0can be seen from a distance of\u00a0twenty metres in sunlight\u00a0ensuring you are clearly alerted to hazards present.<\/p>\n

Falco has an externally located Intrinsically Safe sensor for\u00a0quick and easy servicing without the need for a hot work permit. Dual certification allows Falco to be\u00a0serviced and calibrated in a hazardous environment\u00a0without having to remove power.<\/p>\n

Simple to operate the Falco fixed VOC detector has an intuitive user interface. It has five magnetic switches with LED confirmation, a high contrast OLED screen and graphical interface ensuring\u00a0installation and servicing are both quick and easy.<\/p>\n

RS485 (Modbus\u00ae), 4-20 mA and Relay outputs are standard for all models. The Relay outputs are configurable for either high and low alarms, fault conditions or test cycle synchronisation.<\/p>\n
