ION Science Ltd enjoyed their annual company Christmas weekend away in Devon this year.
We had a busy itinerary to ensure that we made the most of the rural countryside.
On arriving at the Cranberries Hideaway, set in over 100 acres of private countryside on the Devon / Dorset border on Hills Farm, we all enjoyed a Pirate theme dinner.
Walking in Devon
The first day consisted of a 7 mile – 4 ½ hour coastal walk, through the Axmouth to Lyme Regis Undercliffs National Nature Reserve, the highlights of the Jurassic Coast. The landscape is a unique, wild area of landslides, tumbled coastline and luxuriant vegetation. That evening after our long walk, we enjoyed a well-deserved meal at the Old Inn.
The final full day consisted of outdoor activities from 09:15 – 16:30, everyone took part in Clay pigeon shooting, Axe throwing, Archery and Blind driving. We ended the day with a 1920s themed meal.
Overall our weekend away was a great way to all be together to celebrate the success we’ve had over these last 12 months!
