Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Single Gas Detector

Keeping Workers Safe and you Compliant

Industrial sites in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Offshore sectors can be volatile places if the right safety measures are not in place. You need reliable and ATEX certified gas detectors to keep the workforce safe.

Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) may desensitise and render the body unconscious in no time at high concentrations, therefore, reliable personal monitoring equipment is crucial.

ARA H2S portable alarm is a low cost, wearable clip monitor for the detection of dangerous levels of Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S). The detector alerts workers when gas concentrations exceed set safety levels.

The ARA H2S clip monitor operates for 24 months maintenance-free, with continuous operation. The 36-month model, provides you with even more life for a competitive low-cost price, simply slip the detector into hibernation mode when you’re not using it to extend its service life, ideal for contractors or consultants who only visit site on occasion.

The H2S sensor is designed to withstand the harshest industrial working conditions, typical applications include:

  • Site wide safety
  • Plant turnaround processes

Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Gas Detector

Designed with practical applications in mind, the ARA Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) unit weighs just 92g and is equipped with a sturdy clip for attaching to workwear positioned close to the breathing zone. At only 87mm in length, it does not impede worker movement and is suitable for use in confined space working, such as maintenance to pipes or tankers. As an intrinsically safe model, users can be assured it’s safe in all environments, with a three-signal system of a flashing light, audible alarm, and vibration to alert the wearer of exposure levels reaching dangerous concentrations.

The ARA Hydrogen Sulfide gas detector has a daily self-test feature that tests the audio, visual and vibration alarms to give you confidence that workers are protected.

The ARA IR link* allows you to download 30 recent event logs and configure setting including:

  • User ID
  • Low / High alarms
  • Self test intervals
  • Bump test intervals
