Fire Investigation Kit
Used for fire and arson investigations
The ION Science Fire Investigation Kit with Tiger XT or Tiger XTL photoionisation detector (PID) has been specifically designed to provide you with all the tools for a convenient, easy-to-use solution for the detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) within Fire and Arson Investigation applications.
Product Overview
In suspected arson cases, it is part of the fire investigation to prove that there is no other cause of the fire. The Fire Investigation Kit can be used to detect hydrocarbon compounds such as those found in petrol, alkanes, and cycloalkanes. Fire investigators including the police, consultants and private fire investigators acting on behalf of insurance companies, will search for every type of fire accelerant such as grill lighters, lighter fuel, liquid glue and cleaning agents.

* Depends on model and gas.
** Maximum reading is obtained with some analytes such as ethanol.
*** Specifications are based on calibration of isobutylene at 20 ° C and 1000 mBar. All specifications shown are at the calibration point and under the same environmental conditions.
**** Based on continuous operation.
# For indicative measurements only. Quoted accuracy achievable up to 2,000 ppm. For more accurate detection, calibration around the concentration of interest is recommended.
