Fire Investigation Kit
For fire and arson investigation
The ION Science Fire Investigation Kit with Tiger or Tiger LT photoionisation detector (PID) has been specifically designed to provide you with all the tools for a convenient, easy-to-use solution for the detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) within Fire and Arson Investigation applications.
In suspected arson cases, it is part of the investigation to prove that there is no other cause of the fire. The Fire Investigation Kit can be used to detect hydrocarbon compounds such as those found in petrol, alkanes, and cycloalkanes. Fire investigators including the police, consultants and private investigators acting on behalf of insurance companies, will search for every type of fire accelerant such as grill lighters, lighter fuel, liquid glue and cleaning agents.

What our customers say
View Case StudyView All Case StudiesView All Testimonials”“The instruments are a tool to assist in the detection of the presence of ignitable liquids. This also allows the Police CSI to take a sample from a ‘confirmed’ area of post-fire ignitable liquids which can be sent for lab analysis. The Tiger PIDs perform well. Our fire investigators take an instrument to each and every one of the 300 plus incidents they attend each year.”

What our customers say
View Case StudyView All Case StudiesView All Testimonials”“Our old detector was unreliable so when it needed to be replaced we decided to look for a model from a different manufacturer. I often use detectors from private arson investigators and the Tiger was the one that impressed me the most. We found the website for ION Science Messtechnik and they kindly sent us one which we tested extensively before deciding to purchase.”
