Falco 2 Fixed Gas Detector

Fixed VOC Gas Detection

The Falco 2 Instrument is available as either a pumped and diffused model and currently has four detection ranges available to choose from, most suited to your application.

Do you need a Diffusion or Pumped Fixed Gas Monitor?
Gas detection tends to vary considerably from one application to the next. Gas detection monitors always have to be suited to the local environment. There is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to gas monitoring and safety.

Ensuring that every aspect of the working environment is safe for staff to operate in is critical for industries that work with potentially harmful materials. It’s important that any kind of detection device can be relied upon even in the most challenging of weather, exposure, and temperatures, without losing accuracy. ION Science has developed the Falco 2 fixed gas detector to meet these challenges – and exceed them.

The standard Falco 2, both the Pumped and Diffused models are supplied with a 10.6 eV lamp allowing the fixed instrument to detect a wide range of VOC gases. The standard fixed gas detector has 4 detection ranges available, these ranges include 0 – 10 ppm, 0 – 50 ppm, 0 – 1000 ppm and 0 – 3000 ppm.

The fixed pumped and diffused models can also utilise a 10.0 eV lamp to further detect TACs (Total Aromatic Compounds), including benzene with a detection range of 0.50 ppm. For more information contact ION Science.

What is Typhoon Technology

ION Science’s innovative Typhoon Technology safeguards the PID sensor from condensing moisture for added reliability in severe weather conditions, making Falco ideal for harsh conditions or wet outdoor environments without the need for weather enclosures.

In addition, the PID sensor incorporates patented ‘Fence Electrode Technology’, which removes the effects of airborne humidity and protects from contamination, offering the ultimate in safety. Falco 2 eliminates false readings found with other competing PID technology.

Due to ION Science’s innovative Typhoon Technology, the Falco 2 fixed gas monitor can be deployed with confidence in any environment, inside or out and able to withstand the harshest of weathers, such as wet conditions or extreme temperatures. The device performs with unrivalled accuracy no matter what your application or nature throws at it.

Typhoon Technology Video

All ION Science PID instrument use the MiniPID 2 sensor with patented fence electrode technology, the fence electrode and anti-contamination design reduce the effects of humidity and reduces contamination to extends life. The Falco 2 however goes one step further with its typhoon technology to ensure it continues to work in the harshest of environments.

All Falco 2 models eliminate false readings, where other leading competing fixed monitors fail. Competing technology fails when condensation shorts out their electrodes, which in turn leads to false readings. Falco 2’s revolutionary technology cuts out the risk of this and continues to detect Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in hazardous areas without failure in any conditions. The standard and 10.0 eV range are ideal for detecting VOCs in areas such as refineries and petrol chemical facilities that our located in some of the remotest and harshest locations.
