The latter prevents false negative readings by addressing the accumulation of excess water and dirt within the ionisation chamber, thereby enhancing the reliability, accuracy, and lifespan of our sensors.
Additionally, our recent breakthrough in Dutch Weave technology, which incorporates a metal mesh filter alongside a PTFE filter, is available in select sensor variants, underscoring our continuous commitment to innovation and homegrown integrity.

This groundbreaking sensor features an impressive filter lifetime of over 10,000 hours and a lamp life of 10,000 hours. Coupled with ION Science’s award-winning humidity-resistant and anti-contamination design, these features significantly reduce maintenance frequencies and lower the overall cost of ownership.
Our commitment to practical and efficient design is further demonstrated by the MiniPID 2 PPB XF’s serviceable electrode stack and lamp. This sensor is not only intrinsically safe but also housed in a robust Series 4/A package, ensuring durability and reliability in various applications, just like the other Series 4 sensors we produce here at HQ.
Additionally, the MiniPID 2 PPB XF variant is engineered to last with 10,000 hours of filter life, making this variant specifically designed for long-term uninterrupted monitoring. This extended filter life reduces the chance of unexpected burnouts and enables planned preventative maintenance, ensuring reliable and continuous performance.
