Accurately Monitors & Facilitates The Improvement To Air Quality

Particle Measurement & VOC Sensing Technology. – ION Science is committed to protecting lives and preserving the environment by offering pioneering gas sensing technology that accurately monitors and facilitates the improvement to air quality. Two key air quality pollutants that ION sensors can detect are Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and Particulate Matter (PM).

Particulate matter pollution poses a significant global challenge, affecting an estimated 91% of the world’s population residing in areas where air quality surpasses WHO limits. Utilising particulate matter sensors, we can measure both the quantity and size of fine dust particles, crucial factors influencing air quality. Our cutting-edge technology allows for ultra-precise measurements, even in extreme climatic conditions. This includes direct measurements of PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 in both μg/m3 and pcs/L, a capability that sets us apart from alternatives, which often only measure one fraction.

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) comprise human-made chemicals prevalent in the production of paints, pharmaceuticals, and refrigerants. Many VOCs, some with short and long-term adverse health effects, are found in both indoor and outdoor environments. Concentrations of VOCs indoors can be up to ten times higher than outdoors, emphasising the importance of effective monitoring and management.

The MiniPID 2 Sensor variants that cater to various air quality monitoring needs are:

MiniPID 2 PPB Sensor: Optimised for low-end ppb sensitivity, this sensor provides a wide dynamic range, making it ideal for measuring air quality in diverse indoor and outdoor settings.

Our PID technology, featuring ION Science’s unique patented fence electrode technology, is ideal for air quality and emissions monitoring. This innovation eliminates false positives, ensuring reliable results, particularly in high humidity environments where traditional PIDs often falter. ION Science’s commitment to precision and reliability makes our technology indispensable for comprehensive air quality assessments.
